Ararat is a sound and visual performance by duo 1142am, held at the Armenian church in San Zenone degli Ezzelini in the province of Treviso. The performance is also an impossible crossing: the sound becomes an echo of a sacred mountain, distant and unreachable, suspended between memory and interdiction. The ogive, anomaly and archetype, becomes a visual threshold: geographical wound, icon of an absence that persists. In the Armenian church, the sound resonates as a secular rite, evoking the echo of what cannot be touched.
